| Description | Job description About the Role We are a German company looking for an experienced Full Stack PHP/Laravel Developer to take full ownership of a project that genuinely matters to us: the migration of our established TYPO3 platform into a modern Laravel application. But we are looking for more than just” a developer. We want a technical partner and co-creator — someone who questions existing processes, brings ideas to the table, and shapes our software solutions together with us. In short, we are looking for a person who is a software developer, software architect, and product thinker in one. Our TYPO3 system has grown over time into a reliable backbone of our business. The classic CMS and editorial features are no longer what we need — our goal now is a clean, well-structured migration to Laravel, carried out without disrupting day-to-day operations. This is not a short-term contract or a simple “lift and shift.” We are looking for one person to plan the migration, lead it from start to finish, and then stay on to grow and maintain the new Laravel platform for the long term. If you enjoy taking responsibility, making architectural decisions, and helping shape a product over the long run, this role is built for you. What You Will Do Take ownership of the existing TYPO3 platform and keep it running reliably throughout the migration. Analyze the current architecture, database, and business logic, then define and drive the migration strategy. Rebuild the application in Laravel modern application logic, optimized MySQL, secure REST APIs, and third-party integrations. Modernize the frontend while preserving existing workflows, URL structures, and SEO. Act as a technical partner: question existing processes, propose improvements, and help shape our product after go-live through ongoing development. Who You Are 7+ years as a Full Stack PHP/Laravel Developer with deep, hands-on backend expertise. A true builder who combines three roles in one: software developer, software architect, and product developer. You have planned and led at least one real migration project and taken full responsibility for its success. Strong with Object-Oriented PHP, Laravel, MySQL, REST APIs, complex database migration, plus solid frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, responsive design). A self-driven personality who takes ownership, questions the status quo, communicates clearly, and thinks long-term.
