Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tekla Modeler & Detailer with 8–10

years of hands-on experience in structural steel detailing and 3D modeling using Tekla Structures. The

candidate should have strong expertise in steel structures, fabrication drawings, GA drawings,

connection detailing, and project coordination for industrial, commercial, PEB, or infrastructure

projects.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling projects, coordinating with engineers

and clients, and ensuring high-quality deliverables within project timelines.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.

• Prepare fabrication drawings, erection drawings, GA drawings, and assembly drawings.

• Create detailed shop drawings for steel structures, staircases, platforms, handrails, trusses, and

miscellaneous steel items.

• Perform checking and quality review of detailing outputs before submission.

• Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.

• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, design calculations, and project specifications.

• Prepare and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and NC files for fabrication.

• Handle connection detailing and clash checking.

• Ensure compliance with international standards such as AISC, OSHA, BS, IS, AWS, and project-

specific standards.

• Support project planning, estimation inputs, and delivery scheduling.

• Mentor junior modelers and detailers within the team.

• Participate in client meetings and technical discussions whenever required.


Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Tekla Structures modeling and detailing.

• Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.

• Experience in industrial structures, PEB structures, heavy steel structures, data centre

structure, Warehouse structure or commercial steel projects.

• Understanding of connection detailing standards and fabrication practices.

• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.

• Strong knowledge of steel detailing standards and codes.

• Familiarity with:

AutoCAD

Navisworks
MS Office
• Exposure to Advance Steel or SDS2 will be considered an added advantage.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.


Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in the following domains will be preferred:

• Industrial Plants

• Material Handling Structures

• Warehouses & PEB Structures

• Commercial Steel Buildings

• Mining & Cement Plants

• Bridge Steel Structures

• Offshore / Heavy Steel Projects


Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

• Relevant Tekla certifications will be an added advantage.
