The Mechanical Design Engineering II is responsible for performing engineering activities to deliver custom and engineered or made to order solutions for customers. This role works closely with project team and senior engineers to ensure engineering solutions meet customer requirements, project schedule, and budget.
This position is part of Pall's Global Process Engineering group Systems team and will be located in Pune, India in an onsite capacity, working 5 days in the office.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Generate designs which meets customer specifications and offers safe and reliable/robust design which is easy to manufacture/operate and maintain.
Work as part of a cross functional team designing and detailing products ensuring safety and functionality are met in accordance with the customer requirements and current legislation.
Participate in and take ownership of technical clarification meetings with other groups at Pall as well as customers and suppliers, troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers and suppliers on product technical issues, evaluating planning and technical risks, taking decisions and ensuring countermeasures are in place.
Perform duties to an agreed program, manage priorities by liaison with team leader and Engineering manager. Communicate engineering project deliverables in terms of risk, cost, time and quality to a broad audience within the company and externally, including senior management, developing mitigation strategies where appropriate to maintain project deliverables.
The essential requirements of the job include:
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical) with 4-6 yrs of experience with advanced learning or extensive experience in a relevant discipline.
Good understanding of mechanical design principles relating to pressure vessels, hydraulic and process systems as per international standards
Good knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, molding/ casting and sealing mechanisms.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD/3D modelling software for preparation of layout and general arrangement drawings. Experience of working on Autodesk Inventor will be an advantage.
Ability to multi-task Fluent English
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel Must be willing to travel both within local country and abroad therefore a current driving license and passport are essential.
Must have a valid passport and driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in design of filtration and pressure vessels products or equivalent will be an advantage
