| Description | Job Objective The Position has been created to lead a team of Mechanical Designers, Electrical Automation Engineers and Technicians of the Operations team to define the process and build the machines needed to make the new products in line with the strategy map and market demand of TS India. Responsibilities Install electrical systems, schematics, and controls for plating lines (rectifiers, heaters, pumps, automation). Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for automated plating processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Manage high-current DC power supplies (rectifiers) and associated distribution systems for plating baths. Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and rapid resolution of electrical faults in plant equipment and control systems. Ensure all electrical installations and operations meet strict safety standards, codes and environmental regulations. Analyze electrical data to improve plating quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, working closely with Plating Engineers/Mechanical engineers/chemists. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including electrical line diagrams, BOMs, and test reports. Work with mechanical engineers, production staff, and vendors on project execution and system upgrades. Independent process development of complex processes with a focus on improve process KPIs (e.g., process stability, COPQ, process capability) Support in coordinating activities and timelines between TE departments, as well as with external manufacturers, suppliers, and integrators Sharing acquired knowledge and experience and deriving further best practices/Bill of Processes (process and product related) within TE Strong organizational skills and communication abilities Education and Knowledge B E in Electronics\Electrical Engineering Knowledge in PLC control would be an added advantage Critical Experience 6+ years of experience working in medium or large matrix organizations. . Experience in PLC programming Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems. Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Understanding of power electronics (rectifiers) and DC power systems. Familiarity with plating processes (e.g., Nickel, Zinc, Chrome) and associated chemicals. Knowledge of safety standards for electrical systems in industrial environments. Role: Electrical / Electronics Engineer |
