The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the ICU department. Duties will include monitoring patients' condition, assisting medical staff during procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Jr. Executive will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, maintain accurate records, and ensure that the ICU operates efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to the medical team. - Assist in the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed. - Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation. - Support and assist in various medical procedures and interventions. - Ensure equipment and instruments are sterilized and functioning properly. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ICU environment. - Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. - Adhere to hospital protocols and standards of care to ensure patient safety. - Assist in the orientation of new staff members. Skills and Tools Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, or related field. - Strong understanding of critical care nursing principles and procedures. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. - Familiarity with ICU equipment and monitoring systems. - Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. - Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Roles and Responsibilities About the Role The ICU Incharge will oversee the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to critically ill patients. This role requires effective leadership and collaboration with medical staff and other departments to maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols. The ICU Incharge will also be responsible for staff management, training, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards. About the Team The ICU team is composed of highly skilled nurses, respiratory therapists, and support staff dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients in critical condition. Collaboration is key within this multidisciplinary team, as they work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and improve patient outcomes. The team fosters a supportive environment focused on continuous learning and professional development. You are Responsible for - Managing and supervising all activities within the ICU, ensuring optimal patient care is delivered at all times. - Coordinating the care of critically ill patients, developing treatment plans in conjunction with medical staff, and monitoring patient progress. - Leading and mentoring the nursing staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations. - Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies related to patient care and safety. - Ensuring effective communication with patients’ families regarding treatment progress and care plans. To succeed in this role – you should have the following - A degree in nursing with a specialization in critical care and valid registration with the nursing council. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the ICU team. - Extensive knowledge of critical care protocols, procedures, and best practices. - Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills to respond to rapid changes in patient conditions. - Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
