Description	Academic Leadership • Provide vision and direction for all academic programs under Allied Health Sciences. • Lead curriculum planning, periodic revision, and alignment with statutory bodies (UGC, RCI,etc.). • Oversee academic timetables, faculty allocation, workload, and teaching plans. • Ensure smooth conduct of classes, practical sessions, assessments, and examinations. Teaching & Student Engagement • Deliver high-quality teaching sessions, mentoring, and student guidance. • Promote competency-based learning, simulation-based teaching, and clinical skill development. • Supervise internships, clinical postings, lab training, and field visits. • Monitor student performance, attendance, discipline, and academic progression. Research & Professional Development • Encourage and guide faculty and students in research, publications, and funded projects. • Facilitate workshops, CME programmes, FDPs, and conferences. • Develop collaborations with research institutions, hospitals, and industry. Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance • Ensure full compliance with UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and relevant professional council norms. • Maintain and update all academic and administrative records required for inspections. • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for renewals, approvals, and inspections. Administration & Department Management • Conduct regular departmental meetings, reporting, and documentation. • Manage faculty recruitment, induction, training, and performance appraisals. • Oversee purchase of equipment, lab maintenance, budgeting, and resource planning. • Ensure a safe, disciplined, and conducive academic environment. Student Welfare & Support • Address student grievances in coordination with the Student Affairs team. • Promote counselling, mentoring, and career development activities. • Foster a student-centric learning environment. Industry & Hospital Collaboration • Build partnerships with hospitals, diagnostic centres, and external agencies for training, projects, and placements. • Develop MoUs and collaborative programs that enhance academic and clinical exposure. Other Responsibilities • Engage classes regularly and punctually and impart such lessons and instruction, • Conduct internal assessment and semester end examination evaluation. • Develop methodology to educate students about the topic and implementing the same in the classroom • Develop course material • Use of ERP effectively for attendance, conduct of quizzes, learning material , display of marks during the delivery of the course • Development of audiovisual/multimedia materials for the topic presented • Prepare and execute Lesson Plan. • Develop question bank in consultation with the Course Champion • Assure that course content meets the course outcomes associated with that course. • Be available for student consultation on a regular basis • Update Course Champion on the attainment level of the course Attend meetings of the Course Champion to review the progress of the course during the semester • Enforce and maintain discipline amongst the students. • Guide students on career opportunities • Act as a mentee and maintain guardianship dairy • If associated with the laboratory a. design new experiments b. prepare lab manuals c. Conduct lab as per the schedule d. ensure availability of equipment needed for the lab • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the dept • Conduct research and publish papers in cited journals • Supervises the doctoral students if eligible • Organize need based workshop/ seminars / symposia / Industrial visits/ guest Lectures etc. • Shall perform any other administrative responsibilities / co and extra curricular works related to the University as may be assigned from time to time by the VC/ Registrar.
