| Description | India Post GDS 2026 Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass certificate of 10th standard (Matric) with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India. Local Language: The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard from a recognized board. Special Provisions in respect of knowledge of the local language for engagement of GDS in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Sikkim. Other Requirements: Basic computer knowledge, knowledge of cycling, and adequate means of livelihood. Candidates awaiting results are not eligible. How to Apply India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 ➢ Step 1: Applicant will have to first register himself/herself on the GDS online Engagement Portal at the link indiapost.gov.in details to obtain the Registration Number. ➢ Step 2: The candidates must enter and upload following details / documents:- (a) Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP) Email ID (to be verified through OTP). (c) Aadhaar Number -if available (d) Information about the Board, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination. (e) Scanned photo in .jpg/.jpeg format less than 50 kb (f) Scanned Signature. .jpg/.jpeg format less than 20 kb ➢ Step 3: Fill application, select Postal Circle/Division, enter details accurately. ➢ Step 4: Upload Photo, Signature, 10th Certificate, and other documents (as specified). ➢ Step 5: Pay fee online (if applicable) and submit.
