Own the overall platform architecture , product, and platform roadmap for initiatives at both Org and Company levels
Deliver cross-functional outcomes to complex problems in collaboration with product, design, security, data, and engineering teams
Demonstrate a strong awareness of Coinbase-style platform development practices (engineering best practices, scalability, reliability)
Participate in an environment where innovative ideas are regularly generated, vetted, and transformed into action
Anticipate potential issues before they arise and adapt the approach within constraints to minimize impact
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical leaders , distilling complex technical concepts for broader audiences
Mentor team members on coding, testing, release/deployment processes, documentation, metrics, logging, and scaling
Work with distributed teams across multiple time zones
Participate in on-call production support rotations
What we look for in you (Job Requirements)
5+ years of experience in software engineering
At least 5 years of experience developing web applications and shipping user-facing features
Strong experience with JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks (React or similar)
Experience working with large-scale, high-traffic platforms
Hands-on experience building scalable, robust microservices in real-world environments
Experience authoring and contributing to technical architecture and implementations
Hands-on experience with:

AWS
Kubernetes
Terraform
Buildkite or similar CI/CD tools
Strong understanding of:

Rate limiting
Caching
Load balancing
Circuit breakers
Metrics, logging, tracing, and debugging
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ, etc)
Proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases
Understanding of concepts such as gRPC, GraphQL, ETL
Strong Golang proficiency
Nice to Have
Experience with Ruby or Python
SaaS platform experience
Exposure to AI/ML
Experience building applications using OpenAI / ChatGPT
