| Description | The Incharge - HVAC is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, maintenance, and execution of HVAC systems on projects, ensuring compliance with project-specific cost, schedule, and quality requirements. This role demands technical leadership, coordination with various engineering disciplines, and efficient project management to deliver high-quality HVAC services. Key Responsibilities of Role Incharge HVAC Design Document and Specification Review: Review project documents, including tender specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material submittals, and shop drawings to ensure HVAC system compliance with project requirements. Ensure HVAC plans and specifications align with the tender documents. Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical advice to staff designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding HVAC system installation and maintenance. Supervise and guide the team, ensuring seamless coordination with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Design and Planning: Prepare HVAC system plans, specifications, and cost estimates, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning designs. Ensure the effective integration of HVAC systems into overall project designs by closely coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Contractor Coordination: Review and approve contractors’ HVAC installation method statements and shop drawings, ensuring adherence to design intent and specifications. Collaborate with structural and mechanical engineers to maintain proper coordination during shop drawing review. Assess HVAC material proposals and advise the Project Manager on their suitability. Review subcontractor proposals from a technical perspective. Project Monitoring and Site Supervision: Conduct site inspections to ensure HVAC installations meet approved designs, safety standards, and project specifications. Oversee HVAC system testing, commissioning, and schedules, ensuring adherence to procedures. Execution and Delivery: Supervise and manage the successful installation and execution of HVAC systems, focusing on safety, quality, and timely delivery. Provide clear instructions to the project team to ensure work is completed per design specifications and within the agreed timelines. Snagging and Handover: Conduct snagging inspections and generate lists of defects for contractor rectification prior to project completion. Supervise the preparation and delivery of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, ensuring they meet quality standards. Communication and Reporting: Attend site meetings and participate in HVAC-specific technical discussions, providing progress updates and addressing challenges as directed by the Project Manager. Prepare site engineer’s instructions related to HVAC services, issuing them to the Project Manager. Material and Resource Management: Coordinate the timely procurement and planning of HVAC materials and resources to ensure project completion on schedule. Ensure the project is executed according to contract requirements, maintaining cost management while adhering to quality standards and safety practices.
