Educational qualification for direct recruitment: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. Experience for direct recruitment: Five years’ experience in Executive cadre in Planning/Construction/Design/Maintenance preferably of Port and Marine Structures in an Industrial/Commercial/Government undertaking. Method of recruitment as per Recruitment Rules: By promotion failing which by absorption/deputation, failing both by direct recruitment. Promotion: From Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) in the scale of pay Rs. 9100–15100 with 5 years regular service in the grade; failing which Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) in the scale of pay Rs. 9100–15100 with 2 years regular service in the grade and combined regular service of 8 years in the scales Rs. 9100–15100 and Rs. 8600–14600 in Civil Engineering Department. Absorption/deputation: Officers holding analogous posts or feeder posts with experience as mentioned in Recruitment Rules in a Major Port. The post of Executive Engineer (Civil) (Class-I) carries the scale of pay of Rs. 50,000–1,60,000/- (pre-revised Rs. 10,750–16,750) in the Civil Engineering Department, Visakhapatnam Port Authority. Officers selected on deputation will have the option either to get their pay fixed in the deputation post under normal rules or to draw pay of the post held in parent department plus deputation (duty) allowance as per applicable government orders. Dearness Allowance, local allowances, residential accommodation charges, and other benefits during deputation will be regulated as per Visakhapatnam Port Authority rules and the deputation terms. Applications will be considered from eligible and willing officers of Major Port Authorities forwarded by the Competent Authority of the respective organizations. No advance copy of application from the applicant will be accepted; only applications forwarded by the Competent Authority within due date will be considered. Incomplete applications, applications received after the last date, or without ACRs/APARs or required enclosures will not be considered. The officer selected for the post will be appointed on absorption/deputation basis and will be governed by the terms and conditions of deputation as per Annexure-VII. VPA reserves the right to cancel or change the number of vacancies without assigning reasons; decision of the Appointing Authority is final in all recruitment matters. Applications must be forwarded by the Competent Authority of the respective organizations; advance copies from applicants will not be accepted. Along with the application, forward certified copies of ACRs/APARs for last 5 years, attested copies of educational and experience certificates, undertaking of non-withdrawal of candidature, No Objection Certificate, Vigilance/Administrative clearance, certificate of verification of degree and university recognition, details of penalties if any, and complete service details.
