Level-2 (19900 – 63200) Nature of Appointment Permanent post under the Home Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Age Relaxation SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, OBC, EWS: Upper age limit 28 years. In-service Police Personnel: Upper age limit 30 years. SPOs and Volunteer Home Guards (VHGs): Upper age limit 40 years. Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per service rendered, subject to rules. Domicile Status Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Dates to Consider: Online Application forms will be received by : 17-02-2026Accounts Assistant courses Mode of Recruitment : The selection process will consist of the following stages in order: Written Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Endurance Test (PET), and Medical Examination. Written Examination written examination will be conducted in objective type format. The questions will be set in English language only. There will be negative marking, and one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. Merit for further stages will be prepared based on performance in this examination. Bonus marks will be awarded to candidates possessing valid NCC certificates as per applicable rules. NCC “C” Certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks equal to 5 percent of the maximum marks of the written examination. NCC “B” Certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks equal to 3 percent of the maximum marks of the written examination. NCC “A” Certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks equal to 2 percent of the maximum marks of the written examination. Physical Standard Test (PST) Candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test based on merit in the written examination. Only candidates qualifying PST will be allowed to appear in PET. Physical Endurance Test (PET) Candidates who qualify the Physical Standard Test will be required to undergo the Physical Endurance Test. Final selection will be subject to being declared medically fit. Fee Structure : Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is - General / Open Merit / OBC / RBA / ALC / IB: Rs. 700 SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS: Rs. 600 How to Apply : To start application, Candidates will create an account on the JKSSB portal by registering with a valid email ID and mobile number, followed by OTP based verification. After successful registration, candidates will complete the One Time Registration process and proceed to apply through the relevant active advertisement. Applicants will carefully enter all required personal, educational, and category related details in the application form. Required documents will be uploaded in the prescribed format as mentioned below: Recent passport size colour photograph with white background, file size between 20 KB to 50 KB, and dimensions 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm Scanned clear signature of the candidate, file size between 10 KB to 20 KB, and dimensions 1.5 cm x 3.5 cm Valid category certificate, wherever applicable, to be uploaded in PDF format with a maximum file size of 100 KB Candidates will review all the details filled in the application form carefully before submitting it. After final submission of the form, candidates will make the application fee payment online through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The application process will be considered complete only after successful payment and confirmation of the fee status. No hard copy or printout of the application form is required to be sent to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board. However, candidates are advised to keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference. The online application form must be submitted on or before 17-02-2026.
