Essential Qualifications:

For Police Sub Inspector (Confidential): Graduate or equivalent, Hindi typing 25 wpm, English typing 30 wpm, Hindi stenography 80 wpm or equivalent.
For Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerical): Graduate or equivalent, Hindi typing 25 wpm, English typing 30 wpm or equivalent.
For Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): Graduate in Commerce or Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent, Hindi typing 15 wpm or equivalent.
Desirable: DOEACC/NIELIT higher certification or Graduate in Computer Application/Technology or higher, Territorial Army service for at least two years, NCC B certificate

Selection Process
Offline written exam (400 marks, objective type, 4 subjects: General Hindi/Computer Knowledge, General Information/Current Affairs, Numerical and Mental Ability Test, Mental Aptitude/IQ/Reasoning Test)
Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (qualifying)
Computer Typing Test and Stenography Test (qualifying, as applicable)
